The county fair is over, which means that the end of summer is fast approaching. When I was a kid, I looked forward to the start of school. I did sort of miss the freedom of summer days, but when school began, I could see my friends again. Some kids saw their friends during the summer, but I didn’t. My summer was taken up with farm work.
