The new fire station is a go. At Monday night’s regular meeting, the City Council voted 4-0 to accept a contract with the low bidder AHRS to build the fire station. The bids were all rejected when they were opened, but then the City went into negotiation with AHRS since they had the low bid. The idea to reduce the total cost to make more affordable for the city.
