Jeffrey Lynn Parks was born to Richard and Patricia (Habegger) Parks on June 20, 1962 in Hebron, Nebraska. He passed away on January 1, 2021 at his home in Boca Raton, Florida.

Jeff attended Kindergarten through 4th Grade in Bennett, Nebraska and then the family moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska where he graduated High School in 1980. He played Football, Basketball and Golf for the Indians. In his early years of life he rode horses and showed hogs at the county and state fair winning many ribbons and championship awards. He worked at the Pawnee County Hospital and the Pawnee Republican throughout his high school years. His love for basketball took him to the University of Nebraska to become the Student Manager for the Husker Basketball Team. He received his BA in Business Administration and Marketing from UNL in 1985. He was married to Kay Hess on November 16, 1985. Jeff loved seeing the country while with the basketball team so Kay and he were very adventurous and moved from coast to coast, California to Florida with stents in the Kansas City area and in Atlanta throughout their thirtyfive years of marriage.

Jeff was very active all his life. He enjoyed golfing for many years with friends. Many vacations were taken to play professional courses. When his son, Fenway Parks, began playing baseball he loved working out with him and traveling with him to all of his baseball games. Cycling was his latest passion. He rode his bike two to three hundred miles per week.

Professionally, Jeff was an Insurance Representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance, an Investment Broker for many firms, a Natural Gas Sales Representative for TXU, and for the past fourteen years he was the Director of Business Development for Chief Media.

Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Kay of Boca Raton, Florida; son, Fenway Parks of Arden, North Carolina; parents, Richard and Patricia Parks; sister, Deborah (Roger) Rossmeier; nieces: McKenna Rossmeier and Madison Rossmeier; aunt, Margene Parks; uncles: Joel (Kathy) Parks and Ronald (Judy) Habegger; cousins: Larry (Debbie) Habegger, Mike (Juli) Habegger, Scott Habegger, Chuck Habegger, Alisha Parks and Ehren Parks; extended family and friends.
