Award winning providers

Body
Pawnee County Memorial Hospital has some fantastic news to announce! We had two of our providers acknowledged with some amazing awards this last month! I go through each day knowing that we have a fantastic team here at PCMH/RHC, however, seeing these people awarded for their skills, service and devotion is the icing on the cake. This past month two of our providers, Dr. Abby Hanzlicek and Juli Habbeger PAC, were honored with some prestigious awards, so this week I wanted to take a moment to congratulate them and tout on them a little as well!

Council met in renovated Cornerstone Building

Body
Last Monday night’s city council meeting marked the beginning of a new era as the council held its first meeting in the renovated Cornerstone Building. The meeting began with Sheriff Lang, who requested that two of the parking spots in the center of the road behind the courthouse be turned into no parking zones. He expressed how difficult it can be to exit their parking area behind the courthouse when all the spots are filled. By leaving those two spots open, their police vehicles will be able to leave much quicker in an emergency and it will allow them to leave in either direction, whereas they only have one direction available when all spots are full. The council unanimously approved that request.

April Business of the month Pawnee City Thriftway

Body
Our team at Pawnee City Thriftway would like to say thank you for the acknowledgement of being business of the month from the Chamber of Commerce. We strive to make a difference in our small, rural community since purchasing this store from Roy and Linda Nider in November of 2016. Their humble beginnings and difficult challenges began in 1976, which built the foundation of this successful business. We would like to thank past and present employees whose dedication and hard work have allowed us to survive and flourish, despite the pandemic. The foundation of any great organization is service. At Pawnee City Thriftway, customer service is not a department, it is an attitude. In looking to the future, we will continue to make a positive difference in serving the patrons of Pawnee City and expanding the grocery store to meet the needs of the community.
