"I wanted to make more of a difference and to affect change,” said Amanda Burki who officially started as the new emergency manager for the Johnson and Pawnee Counties on August 25. “I just want to continue working on the project Clint had started,” she added. As the new emergency manager, Burki’s main responsibility is coordinating emergency master plans, policies and procedures are in place should any major weather-related disaster or traffic disaster occur in Johnson and Pawnee Counties.
